Amoxicillin 200mg + Clavulanic Acid 28.5mg Tablets – These tablets are a combination medicine of Amoxicillin and Clavulanic Acid that is used to treat bacterial infections caused on several parts of the body including lungs, teeth, nose, ear, throat, skin, and urinary tract. Amoxicillin in this tablet is a penicillin antibiotic that is used to treat the symptoms of several types of bacterial infections including infections of the throat, ears, skin, nose, sinus, urinary tract, and also to treat the conditions of Bronchitis, Tonsillitis, Pneumonia, etc. This medication works by restricting the multiplication of bacteria. Clavulanic Acid is an antibiotic confined from Streptomyces Clavuligerus that plays the role of a bacterial metabolite, antibacterial drug, beta-lactamase inhibitor, and anxiolytic drug. It is used with Amoxicillin to treat certain types of bacterial infections. It is added in the medicine to inhibit the enzymatic elimination of amoxicillin by inactivating beta-lactamase enzymes that are produced by bacteria.
